Hello all NDA family,
Nevada Dance Academy, in observance with state and local authority, will resume in-studio classes starting Mon. June 1st , 2020. These will Zoomed simultaneously.
Please know that we are concerned for the safety of all of our NDA family.
While it is critical for the survival of the studio that we resume classes so that we can offset the expenses of the building, it is necessary to take precautions.
For the time being we will continue to offer the option of Zoom classes for those families/dancers who prefer this option. Zoom is a great way to stay connected, but it is not a suitable replacement for in-studio instruction.
We cannot permit congregating and close contact. We will be following a strict sanitizing protocol to maintain our dancers and teachers safety.
Arrival procedure:
Parents are asked to drop off the student ten minutes prior to class at the front door. Please observe a minimum of six feet of personal space.
Masks will be required for
entry. Students will be met at the door
by a studio representative to be guided through the new practices. Parents may wait in the parking lot if
desired
There will be a mandatory hand sanitizing
station inside.
Dancers will take a seat in the hallway. (6’
apart)
Each chair will be numbered. When called into
the studio the dancer will find the corresponding numbered chair. Belongings can be placed there. The dancer will then proceed to find their
given number on the dance floor.
Dancers and teachers will remain in designated
zones to avoid close contact yet still have space to dance (8 to 10’).
Please be sure to pick up your child
promptly after class. Any lingering will
create time lost. Be aware that class
times will be 50 minutes to allow for entry, exit and cleaning.
No parents, siblings, or friends are allowed
to observe classes or congregate on property except in your vehicle. Our front desk area and student lounge will be
closed.
The dressing rooms will be closed. Restrooms will be available if absolutely
necessary, only one person at a time will be allowed.
Dancers need to arrive ready to dance (Hair
and dance attire). We ask them not to bring large dance bags. Instead
bring a smaller bag containing: masks, hand sanitizer, waterbottle, dance shoes, wipes, band aids, tissues,
toiletries.
Sorry there will be no treats or snacks provided
by the studio. No personal food is allowed.
The waterfountain and vending machine will not
be available.
The wearing of masks on the dance floor is optional.
After class dancers will
be expected to wipe down their chairs, and or barre areas they inhabited.
We will not be using
any hand held props in class or do any partnering. All efforts will be taken to avoid communal
contact of objects.
As stated previously all classes will run 50 minutes to allow for changeover and cleanup procedures.
We implore parents to keep their child at home if there is any indication of illness of any sort. Remember that the classes will be Zoomed if you wish to take class at home.
In order to keep the studio afloat we need each and every student enrolled in dance. We have worked too hard to lose all our training.
Sadly we will not be offering the Intro to Dance class at this time. We don’t feel it is possible to maintain social distancing with parents present in the studio. We will monitor the situation and make a change if possible. We encourage you to stay involved on the Zoom Fun Friday’s!
